About the

Denver Bail Bonds Process:

It can be difficult to know what to do when you hear that someone is arrested. Most people are only vaguely familiar with the bail system and how it works. That’s where we come in: our agents have years of experience and put that knowledge to work for you. Here’s how we approach getting you out of jail:

  1. Gather Information: We’ll need the inmates full name and date of birth. Additionally, we’ll need to know the jail location where they are being held, and if possible, the amount of bond as well as the charges.
  2. Prepare Paperwork: Once we have more information, we’ll know more about how to move forward and which type of bond is needed (learn more about this here). The co-signer will need to be available to answer a few questions and sign the paperwork.
  3. Get Out of Jail: Once paperwork has been signed, we’ll do the rest. We’ll file the bond with the jail and then you or your loved one will be released.

We Handle
All Offenses

Most of our clients have many questions about the bail process. The bail system is unique and protects people who have been arrested from spending time in jail while they are presumed innocent. When a person is arrested and charged with a crime they are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The court needs to ensure that the defendant appears in court, while also assuming innocence. Certain dollar amounts are determined for each offense and considering the defendant’s criminal history. This is the dollar amount that must be paid in order for them to get out of jail. When you post bail using cash, this money will be returned at the completion of the criminal case. Often, bail amounts can be difficult to pay, however. The amount must be in full, and it must be in cash. This is where a bail bond comes in. The defendant or a friend or family member pays the Denver bail bondsman a fee (usually a small percentage of the full bail amount) to issue a bond. This fee is non-refundable, but often payment plans are provided. After a defendant’s release from jail, it is important that all bail conditions are met. These are stipulations provided by the court and/or the bail agency. Often, this includes providing an updated current address and phone number or staying within a certain area until their first court appearance. Additionally, financial terms will be negotiated with the bail agency. If the defendant fails to comply, the bail bond will be revoked and any collateral provided will be used to recoup the bail amount.

About the City:

The city of Denver is named after Kansas Territorial Governor James Denver. It was named after him in hopes of gaining political favor, however Denver retired by the time they named the town. There were originally three separate towns, but the other names were dropped in 1859 after a barrel of whiskey to be shared by all was offered. Today, the population of Denver is over 700,000, with 3 million people living in the wider metro area. There are 10 counties in the greater Denver Metropolitan area:
